What does GlitterMoss mean anyway?
The name GlitterMoss came in a dream and is inspired by the hope of bright green moss glittering under fresh snow and peaking through the frost. The name GlitterMoss means hope for joy, hope for rest, hope for freedom to feel our bodies and live out our authentic selves.
GlitterMoss’ mission is to provide a welcoming, trauma-informed massage and clinical herbalism practice that centers 2SLGBTQIA+ communities while remaining open to all, supporting body liberation, self-trust, and deep rest. Guided by the wisdom of our bodies and communities, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the grounding influence of the boreal forest, GlitterMoss offers compassionate, client-led care that empowers individuals to actively participate in their own wellness journey.
JOY. REST. LIBERATION.
Guiding values of our GlitterMoss:
Disability Justice: We are a COVID cautious business. Masks and air filtration are key elements of the environment we create. We strive to make our space physically accessible for anyone seeking bodywork.
Nuerodiversity Centerd: You can bring your neurodiversity to this space and you are so welcome to ask for things like talking during massage, your own music, scent free spaces, etc.
2SLGBTQIA+ Centered: This is T4T business with trans bodies at the center of everything we do. Everyone is welcome to book with us and we enjoy working with everyone, but we are a loudly trans centered space. We feel this important as trans and two spirit folks are often unsafe, unwelcome, and invisible in many care settings.
Trauma-informed: Bodywork can often feel intimidating or completely inaccessible to trauma survivors. GlitterMoss is centered on bodywork as a relationship and dialogue and we are here to build this over time with you. This could look like, a meet-and -greet phone call, lots of communication throughout body work, clothed body work. The options are endless and we want to individualize every session to you.
Body-Inclusive: We love working bodies of all sizes and abilities have ensured that our table is comfortable and safe for all bodies.
Sacred safe space: We want this space to be a space you can breathe, repair, and create a deeper relationship with your body.
